Follow the guidelines and make sure other people do too. Be reasonable. Be welcoming. Be helpful. Be an example of exemplary behavior. When possible explain to members why you're deleting/moving their post. Delete spam. Double-check before banning. Don't delete discussions without making sure they break the guidelines. Don't ban unless the member has broken rules. Only delete if something breaks the guidelines, not based on personal views and preferences. Limit the use of stickies and bumping. Move posts in the wrong place and send a message to the creator explaining. Make sure members verify their accounts. Talk to other moderators before doing anything you're not sure about.

Thanks, that is useful! I have just updated the notifications by mail, so that I have separate and instant notifications from the forum and can be aware of news faster. This seems to be the start of the adventure
