luscinda Okay! I'll be sure to keep that in my mental dictionary! Quite a zazzy word. =) And it's just camdenferguson666 for user tags. =) Oh, that's difficult, we're meant to know a different name for everyone to do the @ thing? Not copy from the screen? So I have remember how many zs in zzzzz? I'm starting to feel old.
I shall just have to overdo the nested quotes.

luscinda There's a shortcut you can use if the user has posted or been tagged anywhere on the page. Make sure the cursor is in the reply box, then hold Alt and click the username. It should add it automatically. Or, if you're using the Reply page rather than the Quick Reply box, you can click the button fifth from the right, to the right of the embed video button and to the left of the one with a C in a box, start to type the username or display name, and click on that user when it comes up.

luscinda I've never heard the word "higgerant" before. What does it mean? My computer doesn't even recognize it as a word. And here you go! *fires stroopwafel at you as well* luscinda is always expanding people's vocabulary - now I'm just waiting for an explanation of "monoglot polystyrene".

Monoglot polystyrene - well I'm hopeless at languages but appalled at the abuse of the term 'polyglot' on Duo.

I see... I proudly call myself a mono-and-a-half glot. The credit for inventing this title rightfully belongs to a Duo user whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. So much for my photographic memory.

I'm curious about that too, who's learning Chinese, who else is learning Polish, what are the various "Other"s... Mine is Romanian, as I think everybody who read the thread already figured out. I'm also curious about Norsk, I wasn't expecting so many learners!

We are all learning new languages for a myriad of reasons. Please share what language(s) you are learning. You may select multiple choices.

gabrielle - Australian and Texan are definitely separate languages! Just don't ask me for help or you'll end up learning a unique mix of Scottish and American

It's antiquated mock cockney for ignorant, @camden Ferguson. Higgerent, higgorant, h'iggerant - definitely around by the mid 19th century, I'd be surprised if it's not in Dickens somewhere.
I'm sorry, I don't know why I can't make your name stay in upper case. Wey aye luscinda pet, that's a gradely explanation, luvverly in fact. 😊
