Hello!
So let's see how this works. Edit: Admin suggested that I would not make the link public. If you are interested, send me a message and I will give you the link. I have created files for translations in German, French, Italian, Spanish and Swedish so far. If you want to translate into some other language let me know. YET ANOTHER EDIT: When I made this post, there was no other board to put it into. Now that there are separate boards for each language, I will use those regarding the Wilde play. I have so far made a file for translating the play into German. If you are interested in other languages let me know.
Mari.

I just realised that I forgot to click on the modify button. I fixed the problem. You should be able to translate now.

I had the link here originally, but JoThelan thought it was a bad idea so I removed it.

In fact, I wondered the reason to not put the link here by simple curiosity. To my knowledge, JoThelan answered your question in another topic (which I provided the quote for (Please note that I have slightly edited the original quote for contextual purposes, therefore explaining the [abc] within the quote) and I have also provided the link below to the topic) The reason why I would recommend [PMing the link] is because it is possible that we may unfortunately draw some of the old Immersion trolls. [Putting the link in the topic] leaves the document open to anyone with a gmail account who click on the link, including trolls. I think it also includes the email addresses of the collaborators as public knowledge. The private message method makes sure that the original poster retains control over their document. Both ways work, but I think the private message method is more secure. (Source: communitytranslation.freeforums.net/thread/7/set-use-google-docs)I understand the forums are new and is still setting itself up, but overtime I feel we will have some improved method of handling this issue .

I understand the importance of keeping trolls at bay, but to be successful I believe we need to have (eventually?) more open access. Certainly, restricting it to registered and verified users will keep most trolls away. I also suggest a system of reporting bad behavior and banning those who transgress.
Is google docs the platform chosen going forward? If so, and if this forum is to be an effective front end, then we need an automatic mechanism to take us to potential articles of interest that we can browse and pick from. Perhaps you've already thought of that. Just my 2 cents.
Keep up the good work.
James

In fact, there are many improvements we can bring here. The first and the most important is a tutorial : what do you do when you arrive ? Some explanations about the functioning of the forum etc. Moreover, we could explain how manage with Google Docs, turn a document ( pdf and Wikipedia page ) into Google Docs... Now, I'm wondering, how we can know where the documents are ? Who work, and on what ? In order to prevent the " troll ", we could have, in each board, a place where the links could be shared. I have already managed a forum as a admin hence I know we can create a hidden part of forum. There are many possibilities, like adding each members who can see this hidden part or to show this hidden part only when we have eached five messages etc. This way, I imagine we could have in each board ( English, Spanish... ) a topic where everybody could see the available documents like : - Les Misérables ( Victor Hugo ) - Shared by Anne Boleyn [ In the process of translation ] - Shared to LaKapsule - Rachel - Kim ; - Les contes de la Bécasse ( Maupassant ) - Shared by William [ Ended translation ] - Shared to LaKapsule - Marco - James ; We also could add [ Need to be corrected ]. That would be corrected by a corrector, a moderator I guess. We also can add color to show the documents which are finished, in process... Unfortunately, I can't really help beacause of my very bad english, as you see.
