L'amitié est compréhensible dans toutes les langues, elle est universelle. Ce site en est la preuve !

What makes you think we can? We could all be talking ourselves up and unless someone challenges our claims, who's to know 😉 You think so? Just go read my conversations with natives on my... oh wait... Not only is there the obvious snag you mention but in your case, you've gone down the really clever route of choosing a language few of us can read or understand. You could be typing out the Moscow telephone directory and the natives could be asking you why you were doing it for all we know .... if we could ever see your conversations again. Now of course, all you have to do is claim you were having conversations with natives and we can't disprove it ..... did you bribe Duo? 😄 Also definitely deserves recognition as a separate language. Wikipedia even provides translations to English... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_Ilkla_Moor_Baht_%27atOf course, Yorkshire deserves language status in its own right, when we declare UDI we will obviously have that as our official language. 😄

Je parle un peu de français.
As a native English speaker, French has always been a language I somewhat craved to learn (Canada is a place that I often visit, so learning French can be very efficient). Dutch is another language I want to learn (The Netherlands, especially Amsterdam, has always shown interest to me). Afrikaans is a language I know a little, and Finnish is a language that I may simply learn in my imagination.
I'm waiting to learn Swedish (the Swedish accent is really neat!)

If you would ever happen to need someone to help with Dutch, I might know someone... *cough* hehe. Anyway, welcome to CT, Speir! It's good to see you here. =)
