Interesting! I wanted to say “can gain some good connections,” which was why I used “gagner.” But since you mentioned it, I decided to look it up in the dictionary. It seems that “se faire” works better in this situation.

I saw this site because it was announced on Duolingo that Finnish is in the incubator and my old friend Mari came into mind. I wonder if she is working on the course! Then I saw some posts and remembered this site, and sure enough, I had created an account but never posted!

I am bilingual English/Italian with pretty solid skills in Spanish (which I teach at the high school level), then some French, German, Russian... DL thinks I'm great at Swedish and I got through the tree but don't remember much more than en kvinna, en man! That doesn't go to say much for DL since they did away with Immersion. I so miss my Immersion friends... and the activity stream...
